I really enjoyed this book and I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of YA fantasy.
Breena is a teenager who has spent her whole life as a barmaid in the inn her da owns. One day she meets three elementals and her life won't ever be the same. She learns that her father was actually the king's best friend and that he escaped twenty years ago while on a mission for him. He is considered a traitor and as a result is put in jail. The king decides to keep Breena in the castle and has no doubts evil plans for her.
I really like Breena, she is strong willed, smart and kind. She is determined to help her dad get out of jail but has also lots of questions about his past. His da is very mysterious and won't reveal anything. I was like Breena desperate to learn what he has been hiding for all those years.
The others characters are also quite enjoyable. I liked sassy Aleta and the rebellious prince Caden. The evil characters Lady Kat and the king were quite despicable and I really wished someone would kick their ass already !
The world we are introduced to is very interesting. I liked the magic element which was well developed. There was quite a mystery around what Breena's elemental power was. But it became quickly obvious what that one would be.
Overall, Threats of sky and sea is a great start to what promises to be a fantastic serie.

J'ai vraiment apprécié ce livre et je le recommande à toute personne qui est un fan de YA fantasy.
Breena est une adolescente qui a passé toute sa vie en tant que serveuse dans l'auberge que possède son père. Un jour, elle rencontre trois élémentaux et sa vie ne sera plus jamais la même. Elle apprend que son père était en fait le meilleur ami du roi et qu'il s'est échappé il y a vingt ans lors d'une mission pour lui. Il est considéré comme un traître et par conséquent est mis en prison. Le roi décide de garder Breena dans le château et a sans aucun doute des plans pour se servir d'elle.
J'aime vraiment Breena, elle est forte, intelligente et sympas. Elle est déterminée à aider son père à sortir de prison mais a aussi beaucoup de questions sur son passé. Son père est très mystérieux et ne veux rien révéler sur son passé. J'étais comme Breena désespérée d'apprendre ce qu'il a caché pendant toutes ces années.
Les autres personnages sont également très agréables. J'ai aimé l'impertinente Aleta et le prince rebelle Caden. Les méchants de l''histoire Lady Kat et le roi sont tout à fait méprisables et j'avais vraiment envie que quelqu'un leur donnent une correction !
Le monde introduit est très intéressant. J'ai aimé l'élément de magie qui a été bien développé. Il y a tout un mystère sur l'identité du pouvoir élémentaire de Breena. Mais il est vite devenu évident ce que celui ci était.
En conclusion Threats of sky and sea est un bon début pour ce qui promet d'être une série fantastique.
